Scuzi, Buenos Aires, Argentina - September 2006

We stopped for fortification at an Italian cafe for lunch called Scuzzi (which I later learned was a small Buenos Aires chain) but it did not disappoint! First came a lovely basket of fresh bread and empanadas. The hubster ordered spinach fettucini carbonera, and I had some wonderful chicken rollades stuffed with vegetables and cheese and smothered in a creamy curry sauce, accompanied by some perfect cheesy potatoes with pancetta. Wowza! Our waiter was wonderful (as were most service personnel we encountered in Argentina) and finished us off with a complimentary glass of sparkling wine (their version of “champagne”). Our meal, which included two glasses of wine and two beers came to a grand total of around $28 US.

Blonde hair and Wonderbra make friends in Latin American countries.  We got complimentary glasses of sparkling Argentinean wine almost every we dined (including Scuzi).

No jealousy here...if it's free, it's for me!
